Hotel The Celestine Ginza

Home > Travel Tips > Hotels > Hotels in Tokyo > Hotel The Celestine Ginza

Hotel The Celestine Ginza sits in one of Tokyo’s best neighborhoods for both transportation and nightlife. Between the large floor-to-ceiling windows in every room and the quick walk to Ginza’s restaurants, bars, and shopping, It’s a hotel that makes exploring the city easy.

Why We Like The Hotel Celestine Ginza

The Hotel Celestine Ginza opened in 2017 and is in a fantastic location with great access to both JR and subway lines. It’s also within walking distance of Ginza, so you’re never far from restaurants, bars, or shopping.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and safe, with plenty of amenities. It’s a hotel we’re happy to recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tokyo.

The Superior Corner Twin Room

We stayed in the Superior Corner Twin room. The room is a nice size, but the layout makes it feel tight. It’s in a quiet area and features large floor-to-ceiling windows, though there is not much of a view. One of the coolest features is the automatic curtains. There is also a lounge sitting area with a sofa and chair.

Hotel Facilities

All rooms in the hotel are non-smoking. If you need to smoke, there is a dedicated smoking room located on the 14th floor. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. A noon check-out is generous compared to most Japanese hotels and gives you plenty of time in the morning.

The Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is on the 14th floor and features huge windows with great views of Ginza. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only tried breakfast, but it’s worth recommending on its own.

Breakfast comes as a set meal. You have a choice between an American set that includes eggs, bread, and sausage or bacon, or a Japanese set with fish and miso soup. Breakfast runs until noon, with the last order at 11:00 AM, which is unusually late for a hotel in Japan.

Transportation to the Hotel

If you arrive at Narita, you can take the Limousine Bus to the Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo. The ride takes about an hour and a half, and the Celestine is a 3-minute walk from the stop.

You can also take the Narita Express to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote line and go two stops to Shimbashi station. Walk 3 minutes from the Ginza exit to reach the hotel.

From Haneda, the Limousine Bus takes about 65 minutes to the Dai-Ichi Hotel Tokyo, followed by a 3-minute walk to the Celestine.
