Cherry Blossoms Japan Tour: 10-days in March 2023

We had a wonderful time on our 10-day Best Cherry Blossoms Japan Tour starting March 29, 2023. This was our second tour of 2023, and we had a wonderful time with our guests.

Cherry Blossoms Japan Tour: 10-days

March 29- April 7, 2023

Day 1

We met everyone at the airport and got them back to the hotel in Shibuya, one of the main districts of Tokyo.

Day 2

Our adventure started out with a subway ride to Ueno Park, to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Then we enjoyed a cooking class and learned to prepare a traditional washoku meal.

We ended our day at Asakusa, where we visited Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple.

Day 3

The following day, we visited one of the Fuji Five Lakes and witnessed the magnificence of Mt. Fuji.

That night, we stayed in a traditional Japanese ryokan and ate an authentic Japanese Kaiseki dinner.

Day 4

We took the bullet train Shinkansen to Nagoya and visited Inuyama Castle, one of Japan’s oldest castles and one of only five castles that have been designated a National Treasure.

Next, we strolled along the historical Honmachi-dori and took in a local cherry blossom celebration in Inuyama.

Day 5

We went to Magome and Tsumago, two beautiful post-towns in the Kiso Valley.

We also hiked a section of the Nakasendo Trail, a road from the Edo era that is filled with bamboo forests, rice terraces, and waterfalls.

Day 6

Today, we headed to Nara to see the UNESCO-listed sites of Todai-ji and Kasuga Shrine, as well as countless wild deer.

It was also a great time to see the cherry blossoms at their best.

Day 7

On Day 7, we visited the Golden Pagoda in Kinkakuji.

We also visited the renowned Zen Rock Garden at Ryoanji.

That evening, we watched the Miyako Odori, a geisha performance that has been performed annually for the past 149 years.

Day 8

We visited the UNESCO-listed Kiyomizu Temple, and explored the Higashiyama District, with its quaint wooden houses and boutique shops.

Then we had lunch at a 388-year-old tofu restaurant.

Day 9

We headed back to Tokyo and explored Akihabara, the center for electronics, anime, manga, video games, and Cosplay.

Day 10

On the final day, we all said our goodbyes and headed to the airport, with our minds full of memorable experiences and smartphones brimming with extraordinary photographs.
