We are offering a flexible booking policy to give you peace of mind when booking a tour with us. The deposit for all Fall 2023 tours will be $250 USD per person until five months (150 days) before the tour start date. At five months (150 days) before the tour start date, the remainder of the deposit will be due.
The $250 USD deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferable for a fee of $100 USD per person up to five months (150 days) before the tour start date. At 149 days before the start of the tour, the deposit is no longer transferable. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
Flexible Cancellation Policy for all Tours in 2023
We are offering a flexible cancellation policy for all tours in 2023. The temporary policy allows you to cancel or transfer your tour up to five months (150 days) before the start date without worrying about losing your full deposit.
Tours starting in 2023 are eligible for either a refund minus a $250 per person cancellation fee, or a transfer minus a $100 per person transfer fee.*
*At 149 days before the start of the tour, the deposit is no longer refundable or transferable. See our Terms and Conditions for details. This offer is not valid for tours starting in 2024.
Tour Cancellations by Us
If your tour cannot run, then you will have the option to transfer your travel dates (without a fee) or receive a 100% refund of all monies you have paid to us. Your tour may be cancelled if one of more of the following occurs.
There is a Level 3 or greater U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory.
There is an entry ban restricting tourists from America from entering Japan.
There are not enough people signed up for your particular tour (not applicable to Private Tours).
As always, you are recommended to take out appropriate travel insurance for your trip. At a minimum, your travel insurance should cover medical expenses (including medical repatriation) and baggage.
All tour participants are required to be fully vaccinated before the start of the tour.
